Public Relations

PR is often ignored as an effective tool of marketing. Two of our founder Corporate Members, the
Institute of Carpenters and the Joinery Managers' Association already command significant recognition
within the industry for their work and skills.


ACTEAM will work to:

•    improve education and examinations which can be set alongside City & Guilds and CITB;
•    set standards, with representation on various British Standards committees;
•    produce technical data for use within the industry;
•    promote higher standards via specialised trade competitions;
•    create recognition of and seek involvement with appropriate City Livery companies;
•    gain complete public and government recognition of ACTEAM, its function, accreditation scheme,
      educational standards and voice.


ACTEAM will continually develop practical involvement, through high profile representation and association
wherever possible, with leading industry bodies. The emphasis on training and the creation of job
opportunities will attract government interest. This, combined with our drive to achieve full accreditation and
enhanced professional standards, will bring ACTEAM to the forefront of the construction industry
and establish it as a primary point for construction.
